Actually, it's in the pile of books marked 'put in charity bin'. It's a bodice ripper in no uncertain terms, with purple prose from woe to go, and the hero 'husks' at least twice during his seductive battles with the virginal yet amazingly sensual heroine. The first time I read it, I do believe I chortled out loud. These 'penny dreadful' romance writers seem incapable of just writing "he/she said." It has to be 'he rasped' or 'she begged', which is certainly amusing if you've nothing else to do but play Bad Verb Bingo.
