Centering on the fact that many people noticed a distinct *sound* coming out of Michael's nose in several episodes. (Others listen to the same eps and don't hear anything.) Whether he had blocked sinuses, some old injury, or was just a victim of bad soundwork, who knows? (I've listened for it myself, and yeah, sometimes there was some pretty heavy breathing, I must say.)

But whatever the cause, it became known as the nose-whistle. I think you had to have traveled in certain fandom circles to have heard about it, though. *g*
