Especially because, I suspect, I didn't start to actually write in fanfic until, really, after S4 - by which time I'd been devouring the fanfic for several years but hadn't been taping anything. So when I came to write, it all did blur for me.

That's part of why I've been so interested in all the canon that *didn't* get much fic play now that I have the DVDs.
