from his POV, of course, he didn't have much of a choice either; but Nikita doesn't know that. the obvious jealousy didn't help either *hearts jealous!Michael*

I'm very fond of grumpy jealous pissed off Michael myself! ;-)

To reflect back to sk's questions - one of the fanon things that has totally intrigued me as I watch the DVDs (I know I say that way too much - but after subsisting on fading memories and fanfic alone for five years, it's like seeing them for the first time all over again...) is the characterization of Michael.

In fanon he is often portrayed as hiding his emotions - when the man I see in canon doesn't work to hide his emotions at all. What he hides is information, and sometimes the information is crucial to interpreting his emotions and without the information - and Nikita has less information in several important regards than the audience does - you can't always intrepret his emotions fully - much less figure out exactly what he is up too.

It's not so much that he is stone faced, as in unemotional, but that he has developed a fantastic game-face that helps him guard information, and in their world, it is information that is power.

Anyway - I don't know what that was about, but yeah. *hearts jealous Michael!* too! *g*
