i understand the hair raising - i've since been struggling with how to handle the issue of 'knowledge and accountability'.

i also understand the evangelical part - since part of being 'evangelical' is to evangalize ---- so is this not just an attempt to draw a novice into the fold? That said, what I've been reflecting on is the point of accountability. right now (i reserve the right to change my interpretation as i reflect) what i take is that i have a responsibility to acknowledge and advocate situations/conditions which do not treat all as though made in the image of god. i'm working from that at the moment - how to interpret that into my decision making.

the issue for me was the stopping and thinking of being accountable for knowledge of suffering. what is my obligation?

also interested in your opinions here tjm
