Hm, it seems that without Maryna to incite good-natured flame wars (Deliciously oxymoronic!) and Mike to help spur discussion, this forum gets pretty damn quiet. When the number of heavy posters gets down to two or three, using a forum for communication seems just plain silly.

Having a forum for my website has always been a fairly silly idea. The only reason I don't think of it as an absurdly pretentious self-indulgence on my part is that it was never my idea. Alya originally requested that I add a comment system, which I implemented in a by-email form. People would send their messages to me, and I would then put them onto a webpage. Mike, and some others as I recall, then started trying to convince me to make a proper forum. I eventually relented, and the result is what we now know as Factitious' forum.

That said, I'm quite pleased with the forum. When Maryna gets back in a few days, things should pick up a bit. In the meantime, perhaps you could try to get other people interested in the forum.
