Spud could return without breaking continuity. It would just have to be the ghost of Spud. He could return and tell his son, Spudlet, to avenge him against Zeke and Millroy. Then Spudlet would wander around angstily for a while, eventually force-feeding Thanatose to the rocks while accidentally drinking some himself.

That is, of course, assuming two things. First, that the rocks are capable of consuming said suger-like substance, and second, that the son of Spud would be called Spudlet. I personally think he'll be called Spud Jr., if anything.

They are. But now that they're aware that doing so would cause them to explode, they probably won't.

If Spud had a son, he would presumably be named by Zeke. Therefore his name would also be Spud.

Of course, FOMS will never have a ghost lizard, a son of Spud, or a parody of Hamlet. That's a promise. If I were going to do a parody of Shakespeare, it would be of some less popular play. Maybe Timon of Athens. I could have a big food fight scene.
