Why have they changed Speke!!!

I cannot believe it! Not only have they knocked down Speke Comprehensive, but they are, or have got rid of the old shopping parade....How sad, I would love to get my hand on those idiots in the council whom proposed this!

Speke comp, was big and adequate enough to deal with the demands of the Speke area! Why waste valuable money and buile a 'New' school?? What a waste of money! That place, the 'Parade' shopping centre was the heart of Speke sounds like they have ripped the heart out of Speke!!!

I have so many childhood memories of the place and love it dearly but these planner's want dumping on a desert island! and left to do their damage their....How sad. I am angry and saddened by hearing of all these changes to a great place.

We had a huge Youth club with sports hall and swimming baths god help us they don't get their hands on that!!!

Has All saint's church been left! Or have they bulldozed that as well??? That was a lovely church! I can't believe they are masacaring speke!! Literally...

Suppose the Library has gone....And you call this progress?

Everywhere changes.Maybe if people stayed around and supported the speke they profess to love it may not have changed so much.People moved out and new people moved in.i guess they didnt love it so much didnt take care of it.So sad.With the shore and woodland lovely Hale village so close it used to bo a wonderful place to live and still should be.Sadly its not appreciated anymore.For a community to survive and have strong roots it needs continuity.a lot of people deserted Speke and wonder why its changed.??????
