I remember playing football and cricket 'internationals' between between alwain green and eastern avenue on many occasions. great fun playing on that grassless field in the middle of the green. Our team usually included myself, john shaw, jimmy johnson, david astley. alex parks, norman grimwood and i think the green contained derek brownbill. john lochrane, david shaw and others. wish i had a video of it all. I am in Swansea university but get back when i can. my mother pat wood passed away last august but my bother graeme is living in western avenue.
