Came across your post when looking for old photos of Speke. I lived on Central Avenue from 1950 to 1958 then moved to West Mains until 1967. I went to Stocktonwood Road and then Speke Seconday Modern (Stapleton avenue). I worked in the DOve and Olive for 5 years until 1964. I now live in Vancouver Canada since 1969 but go back occasionally and love to relive old memories.

Hi my two brothers Jimmyand Ronnie Shaw also did some boxing, we lived in Alain Green. Found this site as I was looking to find some old school photos of SpekeComp no luck as yet. I live in St. Helens my brother jimmy lives in Anglesey Ronnie lives in Runcorn my sister Jeannie is in Garson I have great memories of playing in the woods for hours out all day with our sugar butties and bottle of water. Love to hear from anyone who remembers the Shaw. I also
