hello people.does anyone remember the 60ts in speke.do you remember the speke group ( the countdowns).we where good,even played the cavern,the iron door and most clubs in the city center and further afield.i was the drummer and still remember the great times we had.tiring but good.thats when we learned our trade.cause we began on the speke clubs..st christophers,metal box and the dove and olive.can anybody tell me if the rest of the group our still around,i know billy quirk and kenny owen have passed away.but i,m wondering if alan studley is still alive.billy used to live by me in the conway valley but died just over 2 years ago.anyway if any body can give any info it will be great.many thanks ....phil

replying to the 60,s in speke.loved those years.i was the drummer in the countdowns loved those years.most of the group have passed away now.i think there is only me left.my mate billy ( lead guitare ) passed away a couple of years ago now.ken ( bass} died quite a few years ago and alan i realy havn,t heard about him.there again he could read this and get in touch,i hope.they where great times...please keep in touch out there....take care.
