If you knew a little more about a police officer's job - you might understand that the reason they wait for an opportunity to pull you over - such as not using your blinker, is because that is often the only way than can stop someone who has other offenses. It's their opportunity to find out if you have or are doing other illegal things. Often times it is stops like that that lead them to people with outstanding warrants, or drugs in their car -- they aren't trying to annoy you or nit pick - they are simply trying to do their jobs. As far as their sitting at the 7-11 goes - if you only knew how much paper work goes along with every call and stop they make - you would consider that perhaps they are simply finishing a report or catching up on paper from earlier on while still in a location where they can be somewhere else in town as soon as a call comes in. Don't be so judgemental without any information.
