Angel:Buffy's not dead
Dawn:I need her back
(Camera shows a flash of light and Buffy appears in the Magic Shop)
(Camera cuts to Angel hugging her and Buffy and Buffy pushes him away)
Buffy:Who the hell are you?
Teaser:
Angel:What did you say?
Buffy:I said who the hell are you?
Angel:You don't know me?
Buffy:That's kind off why I said it
Xander:What'd I miss?
Dawn:Something's wrong, she wasn't like this
Xander:Someone want to fill me in on what's happening? I'm dying to know
Spike:Don't get our hopes up
Xander:What's wrong with Buffy? (looks around)Where's Max?
Anya:He's gone
Giles:It would appear Buffy's lost her memory
Spike:No kidding, sherlock
Tara:It must be the infection
Willow:Maybe we didn't cure it in time
Cordelia:Or...maybe we did (steps away from Buffy)
Buffy: Who are you people ? What's going on?
Tara:Maybe we didn't cure her in time or not completely maybe the spell only half worked
Anya:So half of being a pyscho is being a amnesiac
Tara:Yes..No...I mean .... oh forget it
Spike:(To Buffy) This all may not make a lot of sense- we're you're friends.
Buffy:Who are you?
Spike:I'm Spike.(steps towards Buffy) Your friend. (Smiles as if he's had a good idea) Infact me and you are very close friends
(Xander pushes them apart)
Xander:Pay no attention to Spike
Buffy:Do you know who I am?
Dawn:You're Buffy, don't you remember?
(Buffy shakes her head)
Buffy:No
Anya:Try and remember, you're Buffy the vampire s-(Xander covers her mouth)
Xander:Studier. you're Buffy the vampire studier
Willow:(Plays along) Yeah you're erm..doing an essay on vampires
Buffy:Right.... So I've got amnesia and you guys are supposedly my friends but why is none of what you're saying making sense and why can't I remember the last five minutes
(Silence)
Willow:It's er... complicated
(Buffy puts her hand to her head)
Buffy:This is all too much
Giles:I think it'd be best if we all retire and reconvene tommorow
Xander:You can't be serious
Willow:We've had her for a few minutes and you want us to go
Giles:She's been through a traumatic experience and you can see this isn't doing her any good
Cordelia:Point taken
Tara: He's right
(Camera cuts to Giles house)
Buffy:So I'm Buffy Summers
Dawn:Yeah
Buffy:You're Dawn..my fifthteen year old sister
Dawn:Right
Buffy:(To Giles) So...who are you? I would say father but the accent's telling a different story
Dawn:This is Giles. He's my guardian and your...friend
Buffy:Okay....Where are our parents?
Giles:Your father lives in Los Angeles
Dawn:Though he's probably on a holiday with his bimbo off the month
Giles:You're father-
Dawn:Is a creep
Giles:Is not suited to taking care off you. And your mother she...passed away
Buffy:(Quietly) Oh
Giles:I'm sorry.
Buffy:Don't be. I guess I've heard this all before
Dawn:Don't worry sis, you'll be back to you in no time
(Camera cuts to Tara's room)
Willow:It's like losing her all over agian
Tara:Everything will be okay, you shouldn't worry
Willow:Yeah right (sarcastically) can you say 'hellmouth'?
Tara:Hellmouth (Willow looks at her) Oh right. Sarcasm
Willow:We have to find a spell to revert her to normal
Tara:How do we know we won't harm her? Or leave her in that state forever?
Willow:Sunnydale needs a slayer and I need Buffy
Tara:I don't think your're thinking clearly
Willow:I'm thinking crystal clearly.She can't be amnesia Buffy forever.(Sighs) I feel so useless
Tara:Yeah, you're pretty useless after all you did bring her back from eternal damnation and apparent death
Willow:(Smiles) Looks like you're mastering sarcasm
(Tara smiles)
Tara:On a more serious note do you plan on telling me how you managed to defeat Maximus
Willow:(Jokily) Oh...That was nothing, really, all in a day's work
Tara:You know what I mean
Willow:Okay... so I used dark magic
Tara:What spell?
Willow:I don't know- from some almanac....
Tara:You got it from Helman's Chronicles didn't you?
Willow:Okay,so I did
Tara:Willow!
Willow:Tara, I'm using it for good . Magic is about balance right. Good balancing evil
Tara:Yes it is about balance but not in the way you're talking about.
Willow:I know what dark magic entails, I'm prepared
Tara:How do you know you're prepared? Do you even know the effects of the spell you created? How do you know Max is even dead?
Willow:Trust me, Max is the least of our troubles
(Camera cuts to The Magic Shop. The shop is empty suddenly energy swirls throughout the room and then Max appears, he puts his hand to his forehead)
Max:Man. that witch-bitch gave me a thumping headache
(looks around) Gone. They must think this round has been won... Well the rules may have changed but I'm still in the game
(He exits the shop)
(Camera cuts to Xander's apartment-Xander and Anya are lying in bed talking)
Anya:Long day
Xander:Yep
Anya:The shop didn't get a lot of customers which means less money
(Xander gives her a look)
Anya:Oh yeah and that whole thing with the teenage demon and finally bringing back Buffy.
Xander:Well at least thing's will finally go back to normal... Normal meaning weird.
Anya:Don't forget we have a Buffyless Buffy
Xander:Just a minor detail, she'll be better soon.Willow and Tara can whip a spell
Anya:Speaking of Scoobies, did you see Spike?
Xander:Unfortunately, I see a lot of Spike
Anya:I mean before, after Buffy came back he looked sad
Xander:It's because he feels guilty, about her death, he blames it on himself
Anya:I almost feel sorry for him
Xander:'Almost' being the keyword here
Anya:Are you EVER going to give him a break?
Xander:Not anytime this century
Anya:But he helps us
Xander:He's a demon
(Anya gives him and angry look)
Xander:(Quickly) And demons are totally capable of redemption.Good night.
(He goes to sleep)
(Camera cuts to the Magic Shop, The Scoobies plus Angel and Cordelia are there. Only Spike is not present)
Angel:(Whispers) Did you tell her everything.
Giles:(Whispers)Most of it.Minus the slayer part
Xander:(To Buffy)So, how are you?
Buffy:Fine
Xander:So did they fill you in on the life story of Buffy Summers?
Buffy:Yeah, as much as they could I was kinda tired
(Buffy looks around at the shop, she picks up a book)
Buffy:Wow! A spell book (jokes) what, are you guys witches or soemthing?
Willow:Yeah, right, witches (laughs nervously)
Buffy:So is anyone gonna tell me how I came to lose my memory
Angel:A-erm you went missing no-one knows what happened to you, we thought you were dead
Cordelia:Yeah, that's what happened
Buffy:So what do I do?
Anya:Angel
(Buffy gives her a weird look)
Cordelia:She means occupation
Willow:Oh, you're a student.
Buffy.Okay
Giles:But I don't think resuming your studies would be wise right now. You never know what could happen
(Camera cuts to Max's ware house, he's surrounded by vampires and is sitting on chair, a vampire is standing next to him)
Max:So Cobra has left Sunnydale
Vampire:Yes
Max;(Shrugs) Hmph. I'll get another minion. Plenty of 'em around (turns to the vampire) And the Slayer
Vampire;She's been resurrected but she's lost her memory
Max;(Thinks) Amnesia, of course.Makes sense.Well, the spell half worked
Vampire:This is the time to play our advantage
(Max turns to the vampire, he's voice deepens and his eyes glow)
Max;NEVER tell me what to do.
Vampire:(Cowers) Yes, sir
Max:(Thinks) I need you to get the best demon, witch and vampire you can find at short notice.And after that I have to settle a score with a certain redhead
(Camera cuts to the Magic Shop, everybody is crowding around Buffy talking to her, glad to have her back, Willow spots a book)
Willow:(Whispers to Tara) Tara! Looks at this! (Tara approaches Willow)
Tara:I thought you'd be talking to Buffy, not reading books
(Tara looks at the book)
Tara:How...?
Willow:I know, it's information on Max,
Tara: I checked this book four times
Willow:And here it is on the first page
Tara:He must have put a spell on us ,maybe to stop us from getting information about him.
Willow:Like he did with Dawn's dream and Cordelia's vision. Man, he must be really powerful.
Tara:What's it say?
Willow:(Willow reads it) Maximus, also known as the body stealer. He's over 2000 years old.'Maximus is a pure essence who steals the body of mortals their bodies die upon his depature from his current vessel.
Tara:So he's not really a teenager, it's just a guise.
Willow:He takes on the personality of the person he posseses.he--
(Willow stops)
Tara:What?
(Willow stands up)
Tara:Are you okay?
Willow:I feel a bit-
(Willow drops to the floor)
Tara:Willow!
(The others crowd around her)
Xander:Oh man
(Camera angles on Max who's standing at the door of The Magic Shop unseen by all as he walks away)
I did this fic before the new season started and I just had to end it.The conclusion hopefully be posted tommorow. Please give feedback.
Part 7
(Camera cuts to the hospital, Giles, Xander and Anya, Dawn Tara and Cordelia are in the waiting room, Buffy is currently in the bathroom. Tara and Xander are sitting down and the rest are standing around her)
Tara:(Edgy) What's taking them so long?
Cordelia:Probably the saving of lives
Xander:(Angrily) Would you just lay off once!
Giles:There's no need for that,Xander, we're all worried about Willow
Cordelia:I'm sorry
Anya:What could have done this? What do you thinks wrong?
Tara:I don't know,s-she just fainted
Cordelia:(Raises her hand) Just a suggestion from the ex-Scooby
Giles:What?
Cordelia:Well from what Willow told me about magic when she came to L.A dark magic has to be balanced. Well yesterday she used dark magic on Max to kill him, I'm guessing this is an after-effect of the spell
(Silence)
Cordelia:Oh yeah, home run for vision gal
Giles:It's a sound theory
(Buffy exits the bathroom)
(Silence ensues)
Buffy:So...Where's Angel and that other guy?
Anya:You mean Spike
Dawn:No one knows where Spike is
Xander:Not that we actually care
Anya:And Angel...
Dawn:He had to go , it's daytime
Buffy:So?
Dawn:(Realising what she just said) He..um
Xander:He's allergic to sunlight, it's a rare disease...
Anya:Yeah...Angel and sun- not a pretty sight
Buffy:No wonder he's so pale.....so...this is really bad, huh?
Giles:Angel?
Buffy:No this. I mean you guys just got me back from apparent death and already this happens.Kind of like there's huge positive but it comes with a huge negative.
Cordelia:Believe it or not Sunnydale has a lot of those, but without the positive
Giles:Despite all this we are glad to see you
Buffy:So I'm told
(Xander puts his arm around Tara)
Xander:She'll be okay..Don't worry, she'll be okay
(Camera cuts to Max's warehouse. Max is standing in front of three people, The first is a large demon is is big, tall and has green skin. He has red eyes and horns protuding from both sides of his head, he's called Loco. The second is a vampire who looks like a normal vampire except he has long, curvy SHARP fingers think 'Edward Scissorhands' he's called Jake and the third is a woman who looks normal but is a witch she's called Meredith)
Max:She's going to die.She'll be done for in the next twenty-four hours, that'll leave one of them dead and the group will be open to vulnerabilty but me being the strategist I am, have decided not to wait that long. I've been told you are the best we could get
Meredith:You heard right
Jake:I understand there's a slayer among them?
Max:Yes that's right, but she's in a weakened state..Jake, is it?
Jake:Yes
Max:I need all of them dead...I have plans for this town and they don't fit in
Meredith:Dead you want, dead you'll get
Max:I mean it, don't underestimate any of them form the slayer to the boy....go
(They leave)
(Camera cuts to college, Xander and Giles enter Tara's room)
Xander:Remind me what we're doing here
Giles:We need to find a spell to help Willow at the least a protection or healing spell
(There's a knock at the door, Xander opens it and a girl is standing there)
Girl:Hey is Tara, here
Xander:No
Girl:Is Willow, here?
Xander:No
Girl:Who are you?
Xander:I'm a friend, Willow's in hospital I'm just getting some stuff for her
Girl:Is she okay?
Willow:Yeah, nothing to worry about
Girl:Okay,tell her Sandra said get well
(Girl goes and Xander closes the door)
Giles:Who was it?
Xander:A friend of Tara and Willow's
(Theer's another knock on the door)
(Xander opens it and Jake is standing there but without his vamp face and he has his hands behind his back)
Jake:Hi,I'm Jake, is Tara here?
Xander:No
Jake:She borrowed a book of mine, do you mind if I come in and get it?
Xander:Sure
(Jake comes into the room and show his hands, Xander spots them)
Xander:What a fool I am
(Jake swipes at Xander but Xander ducks)
Giles:What the...?!
(Jake changes for Xander but Xander punches him, Jake falls over Tara's bed and Giles and Xander back away from him, Jake stands up and swipes his claws at Giles, barely getting his arm, Giles sleeves are torn with claw marks and he's bleeding)
Giles:Bloody-?!
Jake:You must be Xander and Giles
Xander:You've heard of us. I'm touched
Jake:I was sent here to kill you. Sorry, just business
(He vamps out and heads for Giles who pulls out a cross)
Giles:I believe this is your poison
(Jake steps away from him and then kicks the cross out of his hand)
Jake:I'm gonna enjoy eating you
Xander:(To himself)Think. Your're in a witch's room
(Jake walks toward Giles, Xander thinks and frantically picks up a book he finds a page and reads something in Latin, just as Jake is about to stab Giles he sets on fire)
Jake:(He turns to Xander) You?!
( He staggers towards Xander and then turns to dust)
Xander:I guess now I CAN Latin read in front of the books
Giles:We're not out of the woods yet. I'm willing to bet there are more. (He picks up a spell book) Let's go
(Camera cuts to outside the campus, Giles and Xander are walking quickly)
Xander:Any idea why that vampire would have wanted to kill us?
Giles:I don't know
Voice from offscreen:Perhaps I can help you with that
(The voice is revealed to belong to Meredith)
Xander:So what is it-vampire,demon?
Meredith:I'm Meredith, the witch.I'm here to kill you
Xander:Never gets old
Giles:Who are you people, what do you want from us?
Meredith:Maximus sent us
Xander:Max? Your're kinda late.Max is dead
Meredith:Wrong.He's very much alive (Xander and Giles share a worried look) and he wants blood. It started with your witch and it'll end with the rest of you
Giles:Witch?
Xander:(Angrily) You mean you did that to Willow?
Meredith:Not me. Maximus. She'll be dead in about twenty-four hours
Giles:So it wasn't the spell.
Xander:Well we've killed Edward Scissorhands I don't think you'll be a problem
Meredith:Look, I'd love to chat...oh who am I kidding?
(She chants and energy forms around her)
Meredith:I am power absolute! I am death incarnate! I am-(Xander throws a rock at her head she drops to the floor)
Xander:If only it was always that easy
(Camera cuts to the hospital, the gang are gathered around Willow's bed, Angel is there now)
Tara:(Holds Willow's hand) You okay,sweetie?
Willow:I'm fine, just feeling a bit weak
Cordelia:Yeah well, collapsing suspiciously can do that to you
Tara:The doctors they don't know what's wrong with you
(Giles and Xander rush in)
Xander:(Spots Willow) You okay?
Willow:Uh-huh
Giles:We've got some news
Dawn:What?
Xander:We had a visit
Angel:From who?
Xander:(Looks at Buffy) Let's just say they have the same taste in food as you Angel
Angel:Oh...Oh!
(Turns to Buffy)
Angel: You want to go take a walk
Buffy:Why?
Angel:We could talk
Buffy:I want to hear this
Angel:It's about stuff you wouldn't know about,
Buffy:I guess so, we haven't really talked, well I guess we have but I can't remember
(Buffy and Angel leave,the group watches them leave)
Giles:Okay, here's what we learnt
(Camera cuts to outside Sunnydale UC. Meredith wakes up)
Meredith:That was embarassing
(Loco appears and Meredith gets up)
Meredith:Loco,How are you?
(Loco is silent)
Meredith:Right.Strong and silent type just how I like my men.
(Loco grunts)
Meredith:I know what you're thinking, what am I doing on the floor?
(Loco remains silent)
Meredith:Okay with the third degree! They got me, okay. Let's get out of here
(Loco and Meredith leave)
(Camera cuts to the hospital)
Willow:So we've got demons after us?
Cordelia:Great. I'm back in Sunnydale for five minutes and people want me dead
Xander:People wanted you dead anyway
Cordelia:Funny, Xander
Giles:Yes, but that's not the worst
Xander:Max is alive and he's the one who did this Willow
Giles:It would seem that if we can't cure Willow in the next twenty four hours or so she's going to...(hesitates)
Anya:Die
Dawn:Oh man...Max is alive? But how?
Tara:I knew it, the spell wasn't powerful enough
Willow:It's okay, I think I know what to do
(Camera cuts to outside the hospital, Buffy and Angel are taking a walk)
Buffy:So..Angel, why'd you pull me out here
Angel:I wanted to talk to you
Buffy:It didn't have anything to do with the fact you didn't want me to hear what they were talking
about
Angel:(Uneasy)Well...
Buffy:It's okay. I understand. I have a fragile mind right now. There are some things I shouldn't hear at them moment.
(Angel looks at her and smiles)
Buffy:Were you and me involved?
Angel:(Shocked) Where did that come from?
Buffy:It's just, when you look at me, you look with such intensity, it's like you're looking into my soul and... I just need to know
Angel:It's complicated
Buffy:Let me guess, we broke up?
Angel:Okay maybe not that complicated
Buffy:I can-I feel something between us
Angel:Maybe that's a good thing it could be a sign that you're on your way to remembering you're life
Buffy:I guess so
(Silence)
Buffy: That wasn't the only thing I wanted to talk to you about
Angel:What else?
Buffy:It's this whole situation.I feel like something's missing,obviously with me not remembering my life I'm supposed to feel like that, but this feels different, like there's a special part of my life I don't know about
Angel:How do you mean?
Buffy:I'm not sure I...You would tell me right? If I didn't know something?
Angel:(Guiltily) Yes
Buffy:Really?
Angel:Buffy,there's nothing you don't know about
(He stops and looks around)
Buffy:You okay?
Angel:I think I sense something
Buffy:What?
Angel:(Calls out) Anybody there?
(Meredith is standing behind Angel)
Meredith:Now what do we have here?
(Angel and Buffy turn around)
Angel:Who are you? (Sniffs) I smell magic on you
Buffy:What?
Meredith:Maybe that's because I'm a witch.
(Her eyes turn dark)
(Camera cuts to the hospital)
Giles:We have a situation here, we're being targeted by demons but Willow has to stay here where she's vulnerable
Dawn:Easy solution, we take Willow
Tara:We can't
Willow:Tara, we have to
Xander:I'm gonna have to agree with Dawn. There's no point in keeping Willow now that we know what's wrong with her here we know what's wrong with her and we need to kill Max
Tara:We can't move her, something might happen to her
Willow:Tara, I may be sick but if we stay we're all dead
Tara:(Thinks) Okay,I can conjure her up some clothes
Dawn:I'll go and get Buffy and Angel
Xander:Don't worry...I'll do it
Cordelia:I wonder what they're getting up to
(Camera cuts to outside the hospital, Meredith projects an energy beam at Angel but he ducks)
Meredith:Agile. I like that
Buffy:What the hell is going on?
Angel:Go and get the others!
Buffy:What's-
Angel:Just do it!
(Meredith grabs Angel's neck)
Meredith:Surprised? You should be, I'm stronger than you think
(Buffy rushes off and then looks back and hesistates, she rushes back and grabs Meredith by the shoulder and throws her, sending her flying)
Buffy:(Looks down at her hands) Did I do that?
(She goes to Angel)
Buffy:What was that about telling me everything?
(Camera angles on Xander arriving on the scene)
Xander:(Rushes to Buffy and Angel) You okay?
Buffy:I think there's something you guys need to tell me
(Camera cuts to the hospital, everybody is assembled there)
Dawn:Ready to go, Willow
Willow:(Now dressed in normal clothes) Affirmative, let's go
Cordelia:Where?
Dawn: I have a suggestion
