I just do not like that fraternities are the social life of most campuses.

Who the hell says that frats are the social life of campuses? I don't know where the hell you guys go to, but the frats sure aren't the social life here at U of Illinois. If anything, it is the bars which isn't any better. If you know where to look, the music scene is usually pretty good at most colleges.

I went to a small, liberal arts college, hoping to get away from the frat scene (after growing up in a major university town where violent frat riots were not uncommon), but I was SORELY disappointed. Even at a school with 1,000 students, the frats and their mentality ruled the roost. I found a small cadre of other students to hang out with, but a shockingly large ammount of the kids were just there to get drunk and fuck as many people as they could. Sad.
