PROMINENT
SOUTH AUSTRALIANS AGAINST WAR ON IRAQ
are
invited to log on to a new web page/site and add their name and
email address to a LIST to publicly demonstrate to all South Australians,
and in particular, their colleagues, that they are opposed to the
War on Iraq, and hopefully encourage others to join them.

In the current climate of overwhelming public opposition to the
war, something more strategic even than mass rallies seems to be
required to get through to the Government and Mr Howard. The LIST
could prove to be the missing strategy. ("Massive rallies will not
change my mind. I've already factored them into my thinking!" John
Howard, ABC Radio, Friday February 14, 12 noon.)

Signatories on the LIST will be grouped according to their field
of endeavour, facilitating them to act together, eg Heads of Churches
as a group with authoritywill be able to inform John Howard of the
religious reasons for not going to war, Judges and Lawyers as a
group with authority will be able to advise him of the legal reasons
for not going to war, and so on for Academics, Business, Trade Union
and Community Leaders, Medicos, Artists, Musicians, Actors, Sportspeople,
Returned Service Men and Women, and Australians of the Year, etc.

When the LIST has a significant number of signatories, they will
be organised in their groups to contact the Prime Minister John
Howard, preferably in person, to voice their opposition to the War
on Iraq directly to him.

Provision will be made for ORDINARY Australians to list themselves
but the primary emphasis will be on PROMINENT people for maximum
effect in this time of urgency with war imminent.

Recognising the public prominence of all the people on the LIST
and under the weight of their advice, Mr Howard can only find it
impossible to continue in his drive for war and remain Prime Minister.

If you are such a PROMINENT SOUTH AUSTRALIAN AGAINST WAR ON IRAQ,
please seek out the page/site and add your details to the LIST.
The site is still being established but may be found C/o www.nowar-sa.net
or by using an Internet search engine.

If you can help with the establishment, maintenance or funding of
the site, PROMINENT SOUTH AUSTRALIANS AGAINST WAR ON IRAQ, please
contact Timothy at Timothy2003_17@hotmail.com or on telephone: 8431
2742.

The site PROMINENT SOUTH AUSTRALIANS AGAINST WAR ON IRAQ is being
established.
