To make my paper more tight I will focus only on the poem "Bonobo" by Tim Seibles and my own poem called "The Fall". I will examine the the multi dimensional quality of sex poetry. I think a omparison of my work with "Bonobo" will be interesting because Sieble's work raises social and political issues clearly while the issues underlying my poem are less apparent. I plan to to a close analysis of the issues Sieble's is raising by examinng his poem line by line. I will also use his essay to contextualize the poem and aid my reading of it.
For my poem I will use a similar approach. I will Analyze the language and stucture to try to make an objective analysis of what an outside reader would extract from it. I will then speak a little about the poem's s influences, what the poem is actually trying to convey, and how effective it is at conveying that.
