Hi,
Here's yet another final paper proposal and (I guess) question. So, first, the proposal. My paper will be on the language of sex, focusing specifically on my poem and (here's the question) either Tim Seibles' work from the Literary Review or on a series of poems from Dien Cai Dau including (but not limited to) "Re-creating the Scene" and "Saigon Bar Girls, 1975." I was wondering which class work you think might contribute most strongly to my paper (keeping in mind that the focus will be on the irony of sexual language (ie what we think vs what we say as well as the differences between what talking about sex can mean in different contexts)and society's desire to touch the intangible through sex and sexuality.
Thanks--
jess
