Sure, POWER is always an interesting topic. You have the beginnings of something, but you have to focus this. To begin: Are you examining this in terms of how language is manipulated to gain power? In terms of gender relations? In terms of institutions and the way power is institutionally constructed? Etc. You need one or two overarching angles that guide your paper. Then you need to flesh out your proposal. What points are you trying to make beyond the observation that there's always a power struggle going on (something we'll all readily agree with). Hope this helps you think some more...
