MY GOD!! SUPERB!!!
Mark, I loved it all - you tied up all the dangling threads into pretty bows and added some gift tags too - very very good episode. Good pacing, dialogue, humour, angst - and, like I said, added some closure to the 'where did spike and faith go' debacle - in a subtle way too!
I really really enjoyed that - and the ending - OMG, I'm on the writing staff and I was completely taken by surprise!!
We SO kick ass.

Wow it was really cool and I loved the character nuances that you gave Proserpexa. For some reason, I was genuinely creeped out when Proserpexa said, "Beautiful" before kicking the crap out of Anya! The entire episode was really tense, and I loved the action for all of the characters: Xander smashing Proserpexa with his car, Buffy quipping right at the perfect time before BAM! in the face. I know the Big Scooby Death is next episode, but I thought this episode could end with the death so I was genuinely afraid Anya would be killed! But it still ended with a shock!
I also thought you were shockingly accurate with your character voices, especially Anya, Dawn, and Buffy. I mean wow it was just full on.
Great ep overall!

When we wrote "Connected" (disconnections aside *g*) she said she couldn't believe that her episode had set up what we did in ours... she meant it in a good way, too :)
But, to see what Mark did with all the dingle dangles left over from our epic struggle with continuity was amazing. To think that in part our muddle set up that is just brill. And I really hope that imisstara feels that you did her episode justice too, because I thought it dealt with the Faith/Spike issue wonderfully. The characterisations were spot-on, which helped it along nicely, and it answered almost all of the issues that the last few episodes threw up - whilst subsequently setting up the final few episodes.
One thing I will say for everybody that has had involvement in this particular part of the storyline - have we set up one creepy villain or what?! Prossieknickers is so much fun! We writers really do rock, even when people moan about stuff...
I know I already said it once, but Mark - great job!

..she was out of character at all, not sure why you would say something like that. She was her pushy self but she realized what she was saying was wrong once she saw how hurt Xander was. Made sense to me. And come on, that one guy, you can wait 3 days!! lol but i wanna know too!

I tried to write as best I could and mainly, just wanted to stay faithful to the characters. It's such a cool feeling to actually have the episode be posted and stuff, it's like I'm really a part of this now. And ya I'm loving how we're portraying Prossieknickers and it's cool how the Faith/Spike/Buffy tension is turning into a little mini-arc. I like how we can put in things like this but still not make it all shippy.
I'm sure J's ep will be awesome, can't wait for that one!

You don't have the "right" to know anything about future events. This is simply a plot details like any other, and if the author wants to keep it as a surprise, it's entirely their choice.

But why do people keep these things to themselves at all? I know we're not them, but the way ME work is all the writers come together to plan every ep so everyone knows what's going on, seems they'd have developed the best system for writing, and something as importants as a death should be decided with the entire group, not on an individual basis.

The only thing we decided on as a group was the main arc of the season, because that dicatates what we all head towards.
Other plot elements have pretty much been kept secret by the writers, and I feel it's unfair to heap pressure on someone to reveal something they don't want to simply out of curiousity.
I could understand if the people asking are writing upcoming episodes, but they're not, and the finale is still undecided.

No cause even joss kept some thing underwraps, other then the people doing the thing. I was just wondering. I'll wait and see, are we going to start the poll after his episode seeing as the other writers have already written 2 episodes this way we have two weeks, to get the polls and the results?
