Subject: Episode 19: Preparing For Backlash.

Okay, I'm fully aware that you all probably despise me at the moment for holding everyone up. I beg of you not to blame me, but instead blame EdExcel who thought it would be a bloody great idea to bestow me with TOO MANY EXAMS. I'm taking a break from revision at the moment to put the finishing touches on my episode. Yeah, you heard right. Finishing! I'm so happy to have this sodding thing almost out of the bloody way...

Anyway, just a few things I wanted to say. I've been kinda quiet, as you probably haven't even noticed. Which is kind of the point. But I've had a lot of fun working with you guys on this season. No really. I realise now writing an episode is bloody stressful however, so I can tell you that I hold a lot of respect for the guys at ME. As much as they piss me off, 40 minutes is a long time to fill. I just hope I've done it.

I hope it's all been worth the wait, and you don't string me up saying "We waited two weeks for this crap?!!" or anything. I just really really wanted to apologise because I didn't mean for it to take so long. Please please PLEASE don't be mad, cause I hate people being mad. I'll be the first to tell you that I'm an insecure person. I don't see it as a flaw, it's part of my personality. Kash? I'll send this your way in a short while so you can read, edit etc. I have still got to come up with a title though. I think it's the hardest part!

They pretty much screwed over my entire year group, what with the 'missing' coursework & inconsistant grading, so year edexcel suk big time!

It all depends on how long it takes Kash to screen it, and Kash and I to talk it over. You know, not just because he's Kash, but because he's writing episode 20. They've got to run. Normally it would be fine, except I have an exam first thing tomorrow morning, and I plan on sleeping tonight. If we get it sorted and prepared by 11-11:30 our time, then yes.

According to Tim Minear and Jeff Bell, on the "Billy" commentary on the Angel season3 dvd, a regular episode takes anywhere between 51 & 57 pages :)

You've done more than fill 40 minutes, although thank god, coz then we can have less ad breaks :)

I really loved this episode. The humor, the drama, the characterization, it was all there in full form! I loved the way you dealt with Angel and now we have three episodes in a row where Proserpexa has just been written brilliantly (16,18 and now). It makes me can't wait to see what happens next.

But I have to ask, where were the Multiple Scoobie Deaths, as you said there would be? Was that just a joke? I thought a Scoobie had to die, but yet no one did.

When I first wrote in Raven, I had hoped that everyone else liked and could write her the way I invisioned her. I know that we all came up with the idea, but the person who introduces a character feels attatched to that character, I'm sure whoever introduced Proserpexa feels the same way.

I loved the way you wrote her, you took her character to the max as I loved to do....good job!

I guess I really didn't count Raven as a BSD. But you know what? When I was reading your ep I was actually rooting for everyone to live, so that's gotta be some accomplishment in itself hehe.

I don't know where the hell this rumour came from - here is EXACTLY the criteria I had in the Order of Writers for Episode 19:

EPISODE NINETEEN: JSLAYERUK

* Arc build-up

* Betrayal of Scoobies by someone

* Guest star appearance

* Death of an ally (not one of the core characters)

Now, granted, J didn't follow all the criteria, but I *never* said there was going to be a BSD. I dunno where that rumour came from! :-)

Knew you'd do it J, I had faith and a paper hat and a bucket of cold water and you did!

Brilliant episode, particularly the second half - the culmination of the four apocalypses, bringing back the idea of the the scooby GANG as opposed to Buffy and Willow and some hangers on was EXCELLENT. Some brilliant laugh out loud lines, particularly the Kryptom Factor (ahh, nostalgia). Loved your use of music and montage, and I actually found myself missing Raven a little. And way to go with Prossieknickers! - good dialogue, quite philosophical too...

And this analysis comes after a 2.5 hour eng lit exam, which shows how much it gripped me. Good stuff J!

But like it said in the episode she and amy did it for there own reasons. So can she really be consider a good guy or a helper of the scoobs, don't want to sound like I'm nick picking I'm just confused there.

...she and Amy just wanted to use the Mirror for their own benefit, which no doubt would have screwed up everyone else's lives.

So the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" scenario doesn't apply in this case, IMO, because Amy and Raven were never trying to do the "right" thing.

the episode is just a dream of a fan. Basically a nightmare, unless you like the whole spike/willow/andrew thing....

i think it was those three....

whoever wrote it had a good idea to do something different

It was Xander's dream.

Xander & Anya = Pam & Bobby respectively.

That was thrown in to represent how in Chosen, Anya was killed - yet she still showed up in our Buffyverse. In Dallas, Bobby was killed, but turned up a year later :)

If anybody wants me to, I'll post my "Q&A" essayette on "Revisitations"....

There's an ep of Family Guy called Da Boom, which ends in exactly the same way, except it's "wait... what's Family Guy?" instead of Buffy.

I loved that show, really don't understand why they cancelled it.
