Subject: Goodbye to You...
Hi all :)
I've got good news and I've got bad news.
The good news is ... I've been accepted for a course I'd applied for during the summer. From October I'll be reading for the JEB Teacher's Diploma in IT. This course qualifies me to train people how to use computers.
The bad news is ... I'll be studying part time and working full time, so I won't be able to write for season 9.
I know! I know! I'm a bad, bad person. I'm a bad, bad baddie full of badness. And I'm sorry!
I had the most incredible, massive, fantastic amount of fun writing for season 8 and I'm really going to miss it. I would like to add that I think the season 8 writers are some of the finest fic writers I have ever come accross, and that I seriously cannot wait to read the next season.
I'm sorry I can't be a part of what I'm sure will be a fantastic collection of fic, and I promise to hang around here for moral support. Good luck to all the season 9 writers and I'll know you'll make me proud!

Explain we need you! They'll understand! Tell them you need an hour a day alone on the computers for literary reasons! You can't leave, we won't let you! Tell them how many exclamation marks I used to emphasize this point! :)
I hope you won't be giving up writing completely? You're really good, the season won't be the same without you :(

No, I'm not giving up fic completely. You guys have me addicted! I'm just sticking to stuff without deadlines, in other words some Lost Episodes for Faithsguy's collection and a spinoff I'm writing myself. Also a short story here and there if I have time!
I'm sorry! *hugs* I really don't want to give the season up but I honestly can't write this year! I just know I'd get all wrapped up and that both the fic and my homework would suffer!
looking forward to reading your work though. Did I mention that Riding the Wave was a brilliant episode and one of my favourites! I expect to see more of the same, mister!

I suppose occasional great fic is better than regular bad fic.... but it better be damn good!
Can't wait for your lost episode. Mine's out this week hopefully, with part 2 written by That One Guy out soon after.
I've also got a couple of story ideas for season 9, involving getting rid of Dawn and/or Spike as well as explaining what happened differently in our Buffy timeline to the original. Doing media studies at uni I have the bonus of writing Buffy fanfic for the internet and then handing them in as homework assignments! It's a perfect combination :)
