Subject: Will episode 8 be posted Wed? Also an IMPORTANT continuity question and suggestion...
I hadn't heard much on episode 8, although I read Sgt. Rock's draft and it seemed really well put together so it should be ready for Wednesday, shouldn't it? I'm not sure what it was for Bunnyphobia's episode 7, whether it was just the great writing or the time of day, but we got SO many replies for that! And haha it wasn't just us replying, it was actually a lot of people! I think that was the highest number of replies, or "rating" if you will, since the premiere. Anyway maybe we could try to post around that time as well to try and recreate the great number of responses like last week.
And now a continuity question and suggestion
**SPOILER WARNING**
*sigh*....so now Xander is one eye short. haha do I even have to say more? (How gross was that by the way? I heard it would happen but I assumed it would be a knife not a THUMB!)I guess we can't address this, but still I'm just afraid that the more happens in these final episodes, I'm spoiler free but I'm sure there will be PLENTY death, destruction and mayhem, the more people's opinions on Season 8 will be affected. I understand there's not much we can do about it, but if Willow dies and I'm reading a fanfic about Willow that's supposed to take place a year after, well I'm just not going to read it the same way. Already I know I'm never going to be able to think of Xander like I used to. Agh now all I see is that thick stream of blood gushing down his cheek. I hope that will go away soon! *shivers*
My suggestion is at the least put a disclaimer in the beginning of each and every episode saying this is an Alternate Universe fanfic, that obviously we cannot take into acount most of the events of season 7. Also I think it's imperative that we finish this fanfic before the finale on May 20. I know that only gives us 5 weeks, but I think it's something we really need to strive for. The finale will forever change Buffy in people's minds, and just by looking at the titles of the threads people already don't seem too happy by the spoilers leaking out. Also, after the finale the board is just not going to have as much people so I'm afraid our fanfics will have barely an audience. I'm not sure if we can actually be done by the finale, but the way things are going it feels like this won't be finished until July. I think if we at least really push ourselves to be done the week of May 20th, maybe we can at least finish in a few week radius of that date.
I suggest we do two parters and possibly show episodes three times a week instead of two for a few weeks to catch up.
What do you all think?

After seeing a certain eye gauging, I think I need a hug! Eew!
But yeah I agree it would be great if we could get the season done the week of the finale. It doesn't necessarily have to be before the 20th, but it would be soo cool if it could just be somewhere that week. I don't want to rush anyone but it seems like a lot of people have at least part of their episode written, anyway.
And it won't even be that hard to get it done. I thought about it, and with the help of a nifty little calendar, figured out all we need to do to finish the week of the 20th is to show episodes 13 and 14 together as a two parter, episode 21 and 22 together as a two parter, and two of the weeks show three episodes instead of the usual two.
So there's five weeks left: two of those weeks show three episodes a week, two of the weeks show two parters together in one day in addition to an episode later that week, and the last one have a regular two episode week.
Like Mark said, maybe we won't be able to get this done, it does seem like a lot of work and we all have outside lives to live. But, if we at least TRY to adhere to some sort of fast track schedule maybe we can finish at least a week or two after the finale and not July 2006.

Ok get this you know how BTVS has feb sweeps lest have something like that only we can do episodes 10-18 in one week 1 per day and the two parter on the same day at diffrent times? I mean it would put us up with buffy. then we do the normaly thing for a week until we have 3 episodes left and 3 left in the season or something? Whos with me, it would be kinda cool to do this.

Kashy posted below that we're going to just start posting once a week, on a Sunday because with new episodes of Buffy/Angel around Wednesdays the board gets pretty cluttered.
While it would be good to get it ready for the finale, I think that's pretty much impossible as everyone would need to finish their episodes in about 3 days, which I don't think is possible.

Only this means that I have to have ep 9 finished for this Sunday instead of next Sunday and whilst it's well on the way, I'm going away tomorrow, and depending on how it goes I might not be back to finish it for this Sunday. So it'll probably be late.
Just thought I'd warn you! I wasn't expecting episode 8 to air until this Sunday...
