Subject: That's so true about Tara
In reply to: Faithsguy 's message, "I really do miss Tara, Its a teary eyed post here...." on 15:38:44 05/01/03 Thu

She really was the Mom of the group after Joyce died, and I think she has been sadly missed by many fans. Tara and Joyce had a lot in common really.

Mind you, I do think that Tara had a lot of interaction in the series, and not just Willow-related stuff. It was subtle and quiet, much like Tara herself, but it was definately there.

My favourite Tara moments are some of the strongest in the whole series - comforting Buffy after her mother dies. "It's always sudden." and helping Willow to be strong enough to be there for her. That horrible scene with Glory on the bench that still chills me. The beautiful song she sang to Willow in 'Once More With Feeling', and then her sad duet with Giles when she realised how true the words "I'm Under Your Spell" were. Saying goodbye to Giles in the airport. "Grr! Arrgh!" Comforting Dawn after Giles leaves, telling Spike to put ice on his cramp, comforting Buffy when she tells her about her relationship with Spike, "I am you know. Yours.", the scene with all the gang in the Magic Box and the end of 'Family', especially that wide smile after Cousin Beth caustically asks her "Are you happy now?" All these moments and more, great scenes from Buffy and great scenes from Amber Benson. Poor Kennedy has got some pretty big shoes to fill!
