OK, as i totally *suck* at apologies (they always come off sounding sarcastic, and i dont mean them to), i'm just going to prattle on a bit.
OK, the stuff i posted last night - it was never meant the way people seem to have taken it. Thats probably due to my lousy communication skills (if you had just done an 8 hour shift with a bunch of ingrate hungry people, you would to). It was never meant as a deliberate panning of people's ideas. It was never meant as negative critiscism of faithsguy's episode. And most importantly, this was not a behind-closed-doors, secret meeting. There had been some concerns voiced about the validity of Amy being involved this way, and Kashy decided to sort things out, however his lame-ass brother decided to dismantle their computer, and he asked me to do it in his place. I sounded more harsh and strict than I meant to, and for that I blame myself (i knew dropping English after GCSE was a bad idea...).
I was not saying to completely cut Amy out. We just need a clearer idea of how she's involved - as I've mentioned before, it seems a bit out of character for her to turn completely anti-Scooby when a) she knows they protect Sunnydale from certain destruction and b) her main problem is with Willow. And for the last time, the true hellmouth idea was not the final thing!! It was just something i threw in - as with all the other ideas on this board, it was simply a suggestion, not an order.
This is why we need to get things sorted out, we can't have writers doing stuff in their episodes that leave big gaping continuity problems for the following writers. When we all signed up for this, we were going to try and keep true to the spirit of Buffy. In that respect, Kash = Joss. If he really doesn't like the way a storyline's going, its his right to say "no". This is his baby, he didnt have to let everyone get involved. He could've done it all himself, or let only 3/4 people join in. But he chose to make it a wide-open offer, and we should all be grateful for that.
And bear in mind that a lot of the writers didn't contributed to the initial ideas brainstorming, as they simply weren't posting here. Their ideas deserves as much respect and discussion as the ideas posed by those of us who have been here since the inception.
We have to stay true to the spirit of BtVS -- we follow the story, we don't try to force it into as many twists & turns as humanly possible. If you consider the storyline's of the previous 6 seasons, they are all quite straight and true... its all in the storytelling, not in how complex we can make the storyline. Crap, there i go again, sounding horrible when I dont mean to.
Those of you who know me know that I am not a horrible person and I would never intentionally rag on someone. Just my lame way of wording last night's detente gave some people the wrong impression. Sorry for the confusion, and hopefully we can all get along better now.

was that Amy wouldnt know how bad Proserpexa was. that infact she just wanted to show Willow that she could raise her. Amy has never had a strong parental figure and she hasnt had a main source of magic since Rack has been gone.
The Amy storyline needs to be concluded. I thought having her being a follower of Proserpexa and trying to raise a "mother" or "magical" figure that it would be a good conclusion.
I was wrong. I am taking her out of my episode. I just think we should drop Amy from the entire season since no one can agree how to use her.
That way, everyone is happy, and as YOU posted last night, EVERYONE has to be happy.

It doesnt get us anywhere. I think the idea of having Amy doing this all to prove something to Willow is good, we just needed to be clear on the intricate details. But this is good!!
If Kashy agrees (which I'm sure he will), we'll keep your episode as it is and post it as scheduled.
And faithsguy, I'm sorry this turned out the way it did. But I will not apologise for bringing this matter up for Kashy, its only fair that everyone's thoughts and opinions are heard.

To Kashy's (and others) knowledge, there was no motive on Amy's part, hence why we decided to cut it out. But now that we have a viable motive, we can continue as planned. There is just one suggestion to be made...how about later on down the line, just as Willow and Buffy reveal to Amy what a big mistake she made, Amy gets killed by her "mother" figure, Prostitelover?
Anyway, we'll leave episode 4 as it is, and get it posted tomorrow on the BC&S :)

Well blast. And you've gone and deleted the thread on me so I can't even see what happened. That's the second time I've posted in a thread that turned into a huge fight and missed the whole battle! When am I going to get to mud wrestle????
As I said yesterday, I have to admit I like the Amy storyline, but if people want to drop it that's not a problem. We've got plenty to keep us going. My main concern would be making this story come together in a way that unfolds easily per episode, and being original so that we don't come accross as poorer imitations of ME. Which I suppose we are when you think about it...but that's not the point!
So far the ideas have all been blending together well and we're certainly not short on them, so I don't think we need to panic or anything. We just need to thrash out all our ideas.
How about if we have a thread where all of the writers put in a brief summary of their episode, one after another. Not long, just a paragraph or so, saying what they had planned. That way we can see what everyone has in mind, and decide if the story is flowing correctly, or if we need to rethink a few things.
Everyone okay with that? Does that sound like a plan? Or just too much hassle?

I would agree to that, but first we'd have to get in touch with all the writers.... and that won't happen until Kash is back online, coz he's got all the e-mail addresses!!
The post didn't fall into a fight, Linda. Just that I thought it would be better to delete any of the posts (apart from this one, obviously) pertaining to the "incident". Keep up the happy atmosphere :)

Never mind, we can hang on 'till Kashy gets back and then go along with the episode by episode thread. Apart from anything else, it gives us all a chance to show off our ideas!

After 6 weeks off it was about time I got back!
