Subject: Theme for this season - coincidence or can we make it something more?

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but it seems like many writers are planning to or have expressed interest on including dreams in their episode. Heck, all of episode 1 was mostly a dream, and I'm not sure if this is still happening but Inner Moppet's latest idea for episode two was to have Xander have strange (possibly prophetic) dreams.

It seems like dreams are becoming a really big tool for this season in a way that hasn't been used before. At first I was worried with all the dream talk because I thought it might get repetitive to have them in what seems to be more than a handful of episodes, but then I started thinking maybe we could take it to another level and actually give meaning and a reason for all these dreams. Maybe some kind of symbolism or higher meaning r big grand scheme, like someone is trying to contact them other than Proserpexa.

So, what do you all think? For your reply to this message, besides sharing your ideas please state if you are planning on using dreams in your episode. I think I might be, I want to include Joyce somehow so it might be in a vision or dream. Thanks!

My episode is all in the brain, so I suppose its a dream of sorts...

It's a good theme to concentrate on - the subconcious, and the power it has over the concious mind...you can get all deep and meaningful with this *g*

[> Maybe we could start to draw TPTB into Buffy mythology? -- Kashmanik, 01:25:15 03/12/03 Wed

Say for example that some elements of TPTB want to help Buffy, but aren't allowed to directly, so they're being sly and doing it through dreams.

And something else I've been thinking about.... with Raven being included in this season, we can go into a little Slayer history, and what if... TPTB are all dead Slayers. Like that's the reward for fulfilling your calling, and that could have been the "heaven" that Buffy was in. She had become one of The Powers That Be? Just a thought.
