Tara was a soulful woman, and her book of shadows would probably have been a kind of a diary. She was always the one who thought much more than she spoke.

It'd be nice to see Dawn using the book, and then adding her own information to it as time goes on. Since in season 7 we've had Willow dealing with Tara's loss and moving on, this would be a way to show that Tara's legacy is also continuing, as well as a way of making sure that Dawn follows a wiser path to power. In case her key-ness starts to kick in!

but she will break the spirit guide role for one second, its hard to notice, but I've wrote it in that she does something to Buffy that a spirit guide wouldnt do...
