Subject: posting a random poem

REMEMBER WHEN
remember when the playground was life?
the swings,fort, and monkey bars
remember when we weren't afraid to go too high
we'd try to take our swings to the stars
remember when we'd stay out until the sun came up?
a new person each week and kisses to steal
remember when we'd make out with all we had
thinking that the flavor of the week's love was real
remember when we had our first day at college
and you felt so small as the world surged around you
remember when you first took my hand to show my the way?
and you knew in your heart this love was pure and true.
remember when I got my first job?
and the boss made me cry
remember when I got home and called you on the phone
you made me promise to keep going or at least give it a try
remember when you first dropped to one knee?
the whole world stopped for me
and for once time just froze
as I became perfectly content and happy
I remember all of it from the first day of kindergarten
and saying "kiss a boy? ewww!"
to our college graduation and first jobs
and now I know I just want to spend my life with you
I'll remember when we're old and we think about the past
that I wouldn't go back, I'd do it all again
because you make my life complete
even when I remember when
