The Rub

Heart rubs against itself
pulsing paradoxical rhythms of life,
thumping its way on and on forever,
Forever.
For-ever.
Ears see.
Eyes smell.
Nose feels.
Skin hears.
Two fingers rub ever so lightly and lovingly against each other,
such delight, such delicate delight and bliss. Giggling arises.
Two fingers rub hard and rough against each other,
such pain, such harsh pain and blisters. Wailing arises.
So goes the rub as what is, as is,
rubbing itself against itself, by itself.
Rub-a-dub dub in the white hot tub.
Climb in.
Soak.
Relax.
Laugh.
Cry.
Die.
Live.
Forever rubbing,
Forever tubbing.
What's it all about?
Rubbing for its own sake only.
Tubbing for its own sake only.
It has its own mysterious agenda.
So it goes. So it goes.
