Cassie-
So here we are in a puppy pile of the heart.

It's sunny and very hot here in Southern Missouri. We (my husbnad Dave and I) run a commercial embroidery business from our home, and the phone rings endlessly.
Are you phoneless by choice? In a way, I envy that, although I know how lonely it can get when you want to hear another human voice.

I was writing for the Crafts Report magazine- a glossy national publication for professional craftsmen, as well as several local niche tabloids--one is the local Business Journal and the other is a farm journal where I covered a lot of rural feature stories. I do my best writing about people in a feature format, rather than hard news. Politics bores me, and writing about businesses themselves bores me. I just love writing about people.

Had to quit for a while, though, because the $$$was meager, and the time was better spent working with Dave in the emb. shop. I was trying to do too many things at once, and getting stretched thin enough to feel transparent!

I do have kids, one daughter who's 21 and has her own place and may soon move out of state (boo-hoo) and a 19-yr-old son who still lives with us. He's a sweetie, but refused college and works in a grocery part time and is an excellent guitarist, with a gigging (not well paid) band that performs locally. We hope he will someday "make" it. He is also very spiritual, and when he is ready,(he says not yet) he'd like to sit with Saniel or the adepts.

I'm lucky. Great husband who is doing this work with me, pretty good kids that I love a lot

ANd you? Kids? Husband? HOw do you spend your days? WOuld love to get to know you better.

Also- are you going for mentor training? JUst curious, because you are so dedicated to mutuality and the community involved in it.

Look forward to your reply! Hugs- Carrie
