Maybe it seems 'too easy' to be seeing meanings, the possibility of redemption, hope for the greater good, any way of accepting what has happened. Maybe any day now, my yesterday's or today's expression will seem puerile, shallow, inadequate. I don't know: judgements of any kind, of myself or others, haven't interested me much in awhile.
Today I'm remembering all the fierce-diety iconography in the Eastern spiritual traditions-- all the blood and severed heads. And I'm remembering all the blood, sweat, tears, seismic convulsions, and hollering on everyone's part-- during the 'easy' birth of my middle child. The birth of even one new being is a cataclysm. The birth of us all, as a new Order of Being...
... may be what is happening now. That does not exactly offer 'easy'-- or ANY-- comfort. Birth is a horrific and risky business, even when it is clear (at least to the more detached among those present) that 'birth' is what is happening here.
