Dear Ben, how did that break your heart? Bald question, I know. I am considering if my playing in the mind until i could bear to fall into that heartspace was not also a movement of LOVE.
You know, you and I have a long comversation before us, if we're up to it. Cassie, in conversation, talked to me recently about Holly's (I think the term is) Generative Metamodel of Mind, in which level one only perceives either/or; level two perceives both/and; and level three perceives an infinity and falls into the Mystery. Cassie said that she also identifies level 0, wherein the mind perceives no choice at all.
I have also been having conversation with someone who has too close an acquaintance with level 0. This person said a good thing when i asked if an acknowledgement of being received was perhaps a movement toward trust. The image was of a bridge that has a sign that says "Three ton limit." When the bridge does prove to bear SOME weight, well, so far, so good. that is a movement toward trust.
I once had a dream in which a group of tattered and weary and scarred people, of all ages and types, emerged from the underworld. A policeman, all bright and shiny on his motorcycle, gleaming in the sun, no doubt a representative of Universal Law and Order, wheeled up and said to them, "We will do everything possible to help you." They merely continued to look warily around. they did not believe him. He was irrelevant to them. there's was a put-up-or-shut-up reality. i instantly got who they were, and thought to myself, "these people are survivors!" They have never left my heart.
I find myself in the position of feeling I am their champion. i have no choice but to represent them. I represent level 0, and whenever i hear things like "it's all smoke and mirrors" or Being is peace and serenity and joy, or whatever, i have to test it to see if it includes level 0. Because if it does not, it is not real enough for me, nor is it Divine enough for me. this is why it was only through Saniel's work that I could have a hope of coming through into Awakening.
In a continuation of that conversation with Cassie, she said that all the higher levels include the lower. I said, does that mean that level 0 is included in all of them? She said that as far as she was concerned, it had better be, and i said that the problem is that level 0 does not know it is included, and does not believe it until shown. that putative three-ton bridge.
If I AM GOING TO REPRESENT LEVEL ZERO, THEN I HAD BETTER HAVE A DAMN STRONG MIND! Which also means not using it for escape from feeling this. Which I have been, unbeknownst to myself, doing.
I trust you to take this in the spirit in which it's offered. The Nectar is, because it actually includes all this, the only way i can BE here. i am just beginning to learn how to speak it.
