When i read Deidra's response to Ben, i was thinking exactly what Art said: i.e. that Ben isn't intending to put down mind but is just saying that in order to *recognize* the Witness Consciousness/"observe the ground of Being" it is necessary for the mind to stop jabbering. Maybe just once, at least. Maybe just for an instant. Anyway, that's what i got from his posting and it feels right to me.
