I'm just remembering a suggestion from JoAnn, in regard to how to balance the pressure of having taken on a lot from others, to zone out in front of the t.v. Your way of avoiding pain reminded me of it, Cassie. And so I am now questioning how well if at all I can differentiate between a necessary, sort of hygenic balancing and clearing out, and an avoidance that is unconscious squirming away from core/conscious wound. And I'm also wondering if we're losing touch with the process of the mysteriously accurate prompts of Being in our zeal to know how we are still inadequate! Obviously I find this kind of question fascinating and fruitful, but I am also having another thought.
