I did too ask for your advice. And anyone's. But I probably did it so obliquely that you didn't notice.
I think the "addictive" aspect resides in our appetite for a certain approach to existence and the ways it subtly, or not so subtly in some cases, provides us with a kind of "safety of the known" which we have come to use as...DING DING: a way of avoiding falling into the Wound! And certainly what you say is true as well, and there are many valuable things discovered by each of us during our romance with one predisposition or another. And Saniel recommended to me exactly what you just did, when I once discussed this with him. It IS for me a matter of intensifying the Conscious Principle, and of becoming skillful in inviting all the ways I can sort of groove and flow with and as What Is.....I forget to do this though, when I am being fascinated with the dark beauty of plunging, diving, disclosing, honoring the underside. It just doesn't come as "naturally " to me.
