God Cassie, this sounds so hypermasculine, like staying in the burn. How about we give ourselves some slack and just let the mind do its thing sometimes. How about just saying, the heck with it and playing another round of computer solitaire. How about taking comfort where and how we can. How about getting through the pain and terror in any way we can. How about holding ourselves gently and lovingly no matter what we do to run, to hide, to divert ourselves from the pain of being here. How about that?
