The newly discovered 20 meters wide <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/db_shm?sstr=2003+XJ7">asteroid</a> 2003 XJ7 will fly by our planet today 150,000 km away(40 percent of the Earth-Moon distance). <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eph?sstr=155258&s_sb=Search&c_time=% ">Closest approach</a> occurs at approximately 19:04 UT on Dec. 6th where it will zoom across Canis Major at a rate of 0.4 deg/minute. shining like a 13th magnitude star.
