 *Gideon had left the crowd of anxious beasts as soon as Sankin had finished speaking. There would be no celebrating for this squirrel, not yet. He set off alone thru the surrounding woodlands. His weapons had already been cleaned and cared for several days in advance. He just needed some time alone to think and prepare for the upcoming events.

Although he had origionaly waved off Sankin's dreams, he began to question them himself. The archer was a veteran of battle and had several close calls before. No, he wasn't afraid for his own life, but the others... Many of them were not yet in their mature phases of life, many had not seen their comrades die in all around them. How were they going to handle the gruesome scenes of war?

There was also another matter at hand. Gideon was a wanderer
at heart. He was yearning to travel again. Now his responsiblities to his new friends had him tied down. Soon he would be leaving the abbey, and his friends. How could he tell them?

Gideon set all thoughts aside. Right now he had to prepare for the upcoming fights.
