Raro wasn't supposed to have the dagger anyway. It was mine, my new shiny one that I got for my birthday, and I left it in its sheath on the bank while I went swimming in the lake. Raro just had to sneak out from the forest and take it to play with...ten minutes later I got out of the lake, when I heard this very loud yelp from the wood! I looked for my dagger - it was gone, but I had to go see who was yelling, so I ran towards the noises. And who did I see sitting in a clearing drenched in blood? None less than Raro Swiftsnatcher! She'd been carving a stick with my dagger and it slipped and sliced a massive slit in her paw! It was bleeding a lot, so I had to wrap it in a hasty mud-and-dockleaf pack and take her back to the abbey for proper healing! Obviously she was ok in the end, but when I went back to the clearing for my dagger, it wasn't there! Someone had snatched it away, shiny sheath and all. Such a pity, but I made Raro polish up my old one and it became almost as shiny as my nice new, missing dagger. And Raro still hasn't been allowed a dagger yet - not that that stops her from carrying them anyway...
