If you quit, you definatly will fail, but if you keep on trying there is not question you will succeed. Weight does fluctuate, I am down to loosing only 1-1.5 pounds a month and it hard to tell if I am even loosing and I know there were times my weight was up too. Just keep on trying, watch your food, stay on your diet, and there is not way you can't win. As for smoking, its hard to do two lifestyle changes in one time, food and smoking. Just know if you keep on trying you will succeed. Nobody is perfect, and there are times that you won't be and that is just human nature.
