Subject: boat presentation

I was at the nash from 1962/3,and was one of the rare breed of boys to actualy come from Bristol there were only 4 or 5 of us all in Hood division. I will be attending the reunion in Aug as I only live down the road still in Bristol.A little story which may interest old boys is as follows, about 3 years ago I was restoring a cabin cruiser in the docks area when I was approached by a local councilor,he wanted to know if there were any old boats about that the council could have to make a display on the first roundabout as you enter portishead from the motorway, as it happened I had a small fiberglass boat surplus to requirements which I presented to him on behalf of old boysfrom T.S.Formidable,he was very pleased t this unlikley peice of good fortune, after talking about the nash for a while he made arangements to collect the boat, as he was leaving he turned back to me and said " it is your boat is it" at first I thought he was joking but realised when he said "you cant be to careful" any way the local news sheet carried the story but curiously ommited to mention the NASH connection, any way as you drive into Portishead look out for the NASH boat
