Subject: 1964 Hood

Hi, just came across this site and thought I would post this and see. I think I was there around 64 (to old to remember )and was in Hood, ended up as leading hand and was proud of the gold anchour. I remember Jono with his tiller soup as we rowed those cutters which seemed to weight a ton. Plus Capt Campbell (chuffers). Was it bringly who was the welsh mad rugby pt instructor,I also was lucky enough to go on mine sweeper HMS Fox for a visit to Amsterdam. We also won the cannon on sports day. I remeber sitting in the small room at the front of the dorm having a ciggy while the floors where being polished and the showers cleaned, and the squaring up of the blankets and sheets.I also remeber getting 6 of the best a couple of weeks before joining my first merchant ship. I was in a group who put on the play "The long short & the Tall" How time fly's.
