I agree, but whether it can be proven or not doesnt matter, kill and threaten enough people to accept something and move away from what they originaly believed, and they will believe anything you tell them out of fear.
Give this a few centurys, and it become wide spread fact.
So in this case, all because alot beleive something to be true doesnt mean it is, history is writen by the victors and is writen as they saw it, whether it was true or not.
