 I have a copy of Lavey's Satanic Bible. When one looks at the belief system it is promoting it is very much like a religious and darker form of atheism.

As has been stated here on this thread a few times, they deny the existence of a personal Devil. However, I have heard a rumour that Lavey did believe in a personal Devil in private. I can't prove this but I have heard it from a number of people.

As has also been said here, I think that the Laveyians and other groups like them are a red herring to get the public away from thinking about the real satanic groups out there. Most of these do not have a presence on the net and they do not have "Satanic Bible's" in the local bookshop. Their texts are secretive. Ex-member have spilled the beans though.

Their leaders look respectable and many are rich and powerful. The Devil can give people wealth and power to those who worship and serve him (see Matt. 4). Their temple's are secretive too. Highly guarded. Many of these temples are in well to do areas. They are houses with walls torn down on the inside so that chid sacrifice can take place. These groups exist. Its not a joke. They know their enemy too - Born again, bible believing Christians who are serious about prayer.
