Salt and rosemary are prufiers. I disagree with u that no casting of a cricle will make them flee although it won't work for youi because u do not believe in it. I have eardo f spirits being agerivated by ppl claling on jesus and that not working. For me calling on jesus woulds be as effective as u casting a circle but for me casting a circle would work just as well as u calling on jesus since i believe in it. SPirits can't control us in my opinion unless we let them. Salt and rosemary does a great job at keeping them at bay. TO test it i'd just ask it questions and it have to prove itself over time until i felt comfortable with it
