Subject: Modern Wicca & Witchcraft Books - all the Same?

Silverfox, said something here recently which got me thinking. He said that many books on wicca/witchcraft mostly seem more or less the same.

This came home to me recently as I am reading one of these books at the moment. I also had some spare cash (a rare thing!) and was going to buy a wicca/witchcraft book, but after browsing a large number of them in a bookshop in my town, I gave up as they were all, virtually the same.

The usual pattern of content seems to be:

1. Definitions of wicca/witch.

2. The author goes to lengths to tell us that wicca is not Satanism, and/or doesn't believe in Satan.

3. The church is blamed for "the burning times".

4. The reader is told how they can become a witch or wiccan.

5. There are a few rituals and practical thingies.

The end.

It does seem that many follow this trend.

Could anyone suggest some 'recent' books on this subject that has a bit more meat on the bones? Not occult/witchcraft/wiccan dictionaries (which I have - and are very helpful), but something more on the theology and doctrine of modern paganism.

I hope to get hold of the book "Pagans and Christians" soon, whci I have heard is quite good.
