Heard today on the news that the DJ, Tony Blackburn, got sacked because he was playing banned songs - Cliff Richard's! So it's o.k. to play marilyn manson songs on air, and various rap bands that encourage people to 'slap their bitch up' etc., but not Cliff Richard? Right.

Mr Blackburn was reinstated soon after after some last minute backpeddling.

The news article I read didn't say anything about Cliff being a Christian, and I didn't even know his songs were banned. The only thing I can think of is from the time when many DJs banned Cliff's Christian song: The Lord's prayer. The ban must have stuck from then on. This song got to No. 1 and stayed there for arounf 3 weeks as I recall though.

What a crazy, ungodly, topsy turvey world we live in!
