Lake Macquarie PCYC, in conjunction with local businesses such as Caves Beach Family Hotel, Swansea/Caves Beach Raine & Horne Real Estate Agents, Harvey Norman Electrical Bennetts Green, Retravision Belmont, Rebel Sports Charlestown, Statewide Pipes & Valves & Hollebone Meats Blacksmiths are among those helping to sponsor a Poker Run. All funds raised on the day directly benefit Rebbecca Plunkett who is a local Swansea girl, in her efforts to achieve a long term sporting goal to play basketball for an Australian Under 16's Varsity Team in the USA later this year.
The bike run will be held on Saturday 29th October, Starting at McDonalds Swansea at 9am sharp & finishing in Minchinbury Sydney later that day. There will be sports memorabilia auctions, raffles, heaps of prizes & entertainment later in the evening. Drinks and BBQ will be available throughout the day. Cost is $25 per bike. Supporters T- Shirts are also available on the day, but best to order prior to the run. Further details, & tickets can be obtained by contacting Steve on 0407 812 175. Steve has also advised that tickets can be purchased on the day and that the first stop is Ourimbah on the Central Coast. He has about 50 friends leaving from Minchinbury in the morning to meet the group at Ourimbah so if you have friend from Sydney invite them along and call Steve to hook up with his mates down south. There will be a mixture of bikes Hogs, sports bikes, chook chasers, as long as your bike is up to it. See you there!!!!
