Who indeed? Rumour has it there are about 10 of them, claiming to represent the wider view of Bridlingtonians. I wrote to the Free Press some weeks ago, and none of them replied to my letter, which stated that they had probably retired here, and were merely concerned with saving a few quid on their council tax bill, which I have already suggested they have increased themselves with the announcement of a public inquiry. This voiciferous MINORITY, (for that is what they are) are determined to try and keep Bridlington in the 19th century. Michael Charlesworth and his mates probably think money should be spent on bathing machines on the South Beach, because they persistently fail to offer any serious alternative economic future for the town. He gives his address as First Ave in all his letters, so it makes me wonder why he make's such a fuss about the South Beach, when he's got the North Beach on his doorstep! I've hit 35, and when I finish University this summer, will probably have to leave to find a decent job. The likes of Peter Bravey and his friends are the future of Bridlington, and have every right to fight for its future, I'm glad that they've made a stand against this pathetic bunch of narrow minded people. Perhaps there is some sort of conspiracy going on: The BPG are the mafia, and are providing all the smack in town, that's why they want to keep things as they are - now there's food for thought!!!
