Yours is a sad story, there are stil many children in Bulgaria in orphanages and institutions. I hope that money from the EU will help. I am trying to learn Bulgarian (very slowly) and have an interactive CD-ROM to help (currently misplaced). There is also some books such as Beginners Bulgarian by Mariana Raykov. If you want something bad enough you can make it happen.
