Subject: Let's get in on!

O.K., let's go for it with you anonymous ones. OM we all know who YOU are but why not say so and why don't you others take your masks off? Some while ago I suggested a Palace style Fans' Forum (free of course) but no-one wanted to know. You prefer to hide. For this reason, your views will never be treated with the respect that they may in some cases deserve.

Firstly OM, I never received an apology from you concerning your jest in which you involved my elderly mother, so apologies mate are out the window. It was you who mentioned on May 16th about rumours concerning players leaving. We'll see. Enough said.

O.K. Hewitt - good signing. Played well until a knee injury finished his career. Tilbury - seriously injured in pre-season, never played again. Dooley - admittedly a disaster. Luffman - wouldn't train (not a Youth Team player by the way). Bennetts - very disappointing in pre-season and released, but here was a guy who had played 12-15 conference games for Farnborough, and then a whole season in the Premier on loan at Boreham Wood. The Farnborough captain recommended him to John Fowler, his friend. Fisher - he wanted to come, but wasn't match fit and wasn't prepared to be a sub.

Next point. OM, you have failed to notice that Casuals finished below us. Yes, Epsom did surprisingly well and all credit to them, and we all know why Hornchurch did so well.

Next point. The Youth Team. Well Byron is now playing regularly and Jay has been on the bench. Please, OM, name the boys whom you think should be starting first team games next season. Actually, I can name one 16 year old who could be challenging for the keeper's jersey but you don't even know him. In fact, how many youth team players can you name (apart from the goal scorers named in the programme)? I see that you speak to a number of people "associated with the club". They are concerned are they? Well, I say again, let them come out of the woodwork and express their concerns at an open, democratic forum. Bet you they don't.

Finally, the Message Board issue. The Message Board was integral to an official website and the Chief Executive felt that certain comments were inappropriate in that context. I had no part in its closure. Frankly, I think this Board is a much better idea because we can let rip and say what we mean as I have done regularly even though there are those who don't think I should.
